A strong model score is not the whole job

A model performs well in development, then disappoints in production. The issue may be a feature that was unavailable at prediction time, an unsuitable deployment pattern, or monitoring that notices infrastructure failures but misses deteriorating predictions.

This practice course follows that broader engineering responsibility. Across six tests, you can check how well you connect data, development, deployment, and live operation instead of treating each as a separate set of service names. It is particularly useful after your first pass through the MLA-C01 material, when the remaining gaps are easier to expose through scenarios.

Follow the model from its inputs to its live behavior

Data topics cover storage, processing, preparation, feature work, and quality. Development topics include algorithm selection, training, tuning, evaluation, and responsible choices. Deployment moves the discussion into endpoints, batch use, pipelines, and release decisions.

Monitoring then asks what the service is doing after launch: drift, prediction quality, performance, cost, and health. Security and governance connect access, encryption, isolation, and lifecycle controls to the same workload. Recognizing a SageMaker capability is helpful; understanding when it addresses the observed problem is the skill the scenarios ask you to practice.

Keep the exam transition separate from that learning value. Production-ML understanding remains useful, but a score on C01 material cannot demonstrate coverage of C02's expanded generative and agentic AI scope. The version label is there to help you choose deliberately, not to make the course sound newer than it is.

Practice format

Six MLA-C01 tests covering data, models, deployment and operations.

You get 6 practice tests, with 65 questions in each test (390 questions in total).

Each test gives you 130 minutes.

The course language is English, and the course level is Intermediate.

Is this the right fit?

For candidates following a confirmed MLA-C01 route and ML, data, or cloud practitioners reviewing that scope. You should already have a grounding in machine learning and relevant AWS services. Choose C02-specific resources for a C02 appointment; this course is not a hands-on implementation program or a complete introduction to ML.

A sample of the reasoning

A churn model performs unusually well offline but poorly in production. One training feature records whether the retention team contacted a customer after the prediction would have been made. What should the engineer investigate first?

  1. Whether the training feature leaks information unavailable at prediction time.

  2. Whether a larger inference endpoint would improve prediction accuracy.

  3. Whether the encryption-key configuration caused the offline result.

  4. Whether additional hyperparameter tuning would reproduce the high score.

Best answer: A. A addresses the mismatch between what historical training data contains and what a live prediction can know. The later retention contact can leak information into evaluation. Endpoint capacity and encryption do not explain that temporal mismatch. More tuning may make the misleading offline result more convincing without repairing the data boundary.

Keep your study notes on the same version

Put MLA-C01 and your intended exam language at the top of the plan. When reviewing a miss, identify whether it came from data timing, model evaluation, service behavior, deployment choice, or live monitoring. Repair that specific gap before attempting another test. Recheck the official transition information before making a booking decision, rather than allowing C01 and C02 resources to become an unlabeled mixture.
